In terms of popularity and consistency i guess Kareena is way ahead. She still gets meaty roles. While Rani might be a great actress but the number of years she ruled or rather stayed stable were quite lesser. She got her Breakthrough through KKHH, attained superstardom mainly during 2003-2006 ( Humtum-Kank) and then faded after that. With Kareena, she's been more constant and is still relevant.

would you say kareena is as in demand as alia, ananya, Jhanvi..all these newbies? She may have sustained for sure but her demand level seems below even the likes of more seasoned actresses like deepika for films today, and even the new actresses.

It’s hard to tell when she does not put herself out there in films only catered around her. She is usually in big hits and multi starrers, where as rani makes the deliberate choice to act in content based films which earn money. She has most definitely outcompeted preity and ash. But I wouldn’t say she has outcompeted rani as rani in successful in films today.

To put Rani in the same bracket as preity and ash is a lame attempt by Rani naysayers !

Kareena acts in films like singham2 and bajrangi bhaijaan, Rani would not do such roles . If acting opposite superstars in inconsequential roles make someone relevant ,then Rani was never in such a race ,not even in the 2000s. Her route and stardom has been different.
