Why doesn't Hrithik Roshan take the number game seriously?

I really think HR could have capitalized better on the super-success of War and gone on a signing spree to affirm his box-office status. Instead, he's just taking it easy and hasn't signed a single movie. Sometimes I think he lacks the ambition or else he could have easily been No. 1. He takes too much breaks between his movies, and it's not something that really works if he has to maintain his position in the pecking order.

He's not like Aamir Khan either, who takes breaks only to strategize and come back with bigger, better concepts. He's more like someone who does his own thing, and doesn't have a clear strategy.

Do you think he hasn't really lived upto the hype which his projects create? does his temperament come in the way?

I think the year 2002 still haunts him when he had three disasters in MDK ,NTJNH and AMALL after which he decided to take it easy and started taking it slow.Higher the number of movies ,more the chances of failures .

Hrithik had overtaken the Khans in 2006 but lack of doing enough movies led to his downfall . I am not saying that he should any random crap movie but imagine wasting 1-2 yrs for movies like Kites or Mohenjodaro

Exactly. I'm not saying he should become like Akshay Kumar and go on a signing spree. But he shouldn't become the other extreme either i.e. sign too few movies. Balance is the key.

There's a 2002 in everyone's life. That doesn't mean they should be overtly cautious though. Hrithik has the box-office pull, and he knows it. He just needs to sign good movies and half the work is done.

Because not everyone is number obsessed. He’s a good actor and can always do movies. Why run after the numbers and #1 title and drive your self crazy. I think hes cool and calm nature is working well for him and we all saw the trauma the witches Kangana and Rangoli caused and continue to do so.

He’s in a better place with kids and family and we should let him be. Atleast he’s picking good scripts and he’s welcome any time.

Its because other stars have always pulled him down indirectly in terms of box office numbers by trying to report false numbers. Especially when krrish 3 released. I myself believe the numbers were on higher side as personally I went to a theatre in the 4th week and and the show was still houseful(this is when Ram Leela had released). Srk was one of the most jealous persons and see what he has become now. Remember Chennai Express. He did not want any movie to cross his numbers. These other stars like srk, salman and aamir did not want any other to snatch their throne. This news is old i.e. 2013 and since then he has not concentrated on number games because he knows how other jealous insecure ones will attack him indirectly.
