Kareena is not the top actress right now, buts she IS a game-changer.

She's still very much relevant and doing back-to-back films, and not only that, some of her films' success can be attributed to her only. E.g. Veere di wedding.

However, she does have competition-and lots of it.

I agree that PC has HW movies lined up. Other actresses also have some movies and probably doing good but most are struggling now. Ash has no movies on her kitty. Over the last 2 years, she keep spreading rumors of different producers casting her on their movies through her PR. All her comeback movies were flop as a lead actress. Her only fame is her beauty now. She can’t act. So why would producers waste money on her when there are better actresses than her like Vidya Balan, Tabu and Rani? Kajol might be doing good but recently, most of her movies are produced by Ajay. Her role on her last movie was flowerpot. Somebody even said on another topic that Ajay casted her as a flowerpot role in Tanhaji. Also, there was another topic recently where somebody asked Is Kat out of work? Then, somebody said DP is surviving by producing her own movies and Anushka is also not getting work. They also said that Kareena is the only actress that is currently doing well. I didn’t say Vidya is not doing good but her movies are different from Kareena’s movies. Vidya was never known for glamorous roles. She was always known as good art actress like Shabana Azim. Kangana gave back to back flop movies and Alia is only getting movies because of her sugar daddy KJo. There are always discussions about those things in BW forum. I am not sure much about the young actresses because they have long away to go to establish themselves. I believe Kareena has some contributions for those movies success because actors cannot always make a movie success and Kareena also had important roles on those movies. I don’t see anything wrong with doing flowerpot roles. Most actresses in Bollywood survives by doing those roles. Kat was considered number 1 actress in 2013 despite doing flowerpot roles all the time. If Kat can get credit by doing flowerpot roles, then I think Kareena also deserves to get some credit. So there you go.

Kareena’s very successful and truly a game changer for married actresses with children, still working in A list films and top actors. We can sit here and make XYZ excuses and dissect all her successful films one by one, doesn’t matter. She has those successes. They are here and no one can take them away. Not just that, but she’s garnered great reviews for her recent work, special mention to UP, Ki&Ka, and Good Newwz.

Just because she's not working in Bollywood that doesn't mean she's not getting work. Even the Gangubai biopic, she was supposed to do that but Alia lobbied it. I heard VB is working on the scripting to make adaptation of 12th night in Hindi & cast PC. All BW peeps & dirs and producers are welcoming her and approaching her after She made it big in the west by her own. I am sure she hasn't forgotten how she didn't get a single award for Barfi. 😆 and I don't need to mention her lineups in HW. She's in a league of her own now.

But in Hindi belt Alia's still the most in demand actress at the moment. Just because of one Kalank it doesn't change anything. Shes still gets the best projects and delivers. Kareena is def. doing amazing for herself as a married woman with a kid. The only actress from her time who's still at the top of her game & very much relevant so is her market value despite reaching 40. Getting full fledged roles in A-List films and production houses. She has B.O. pull. I think she's the only A-List actress since Hema Malini to work non-stop 20yrs as a leading hindi film heroine, Hema Malini took a break in between I guess. And it's ridiculous to say she has no contributions or added any value or worth or in her career. KI & KA and VDW's success credit should be given to Kareena. Even in Good News she was lauded to be the star performer by critics. She did get rave reviews for UP too. She's still very much a BO draw.

The only out of work actress I can think of atm is Anu among the A-List actresses of the generation. I so miss watching her on-screen.

Katrina well she's doing the same what she's known for sleazy item dancing or flowerpot roles with A-List actors to get hit films. If it clicks she'll taste success but it won't make any difference to her career at this point. She's now a has-been with no meaty roles. All are rumours of her doing films which none knows when it'll go on floors. And saying Bebo has always played flowerpot roles that's how she was at the top is BS. It's Katrina who's been the poster girl of flowerpot roles by working with Top superstars.

Deepika I don't think she's out of work. She has limited her choices. She wants to be part of projects now which revolves around her and doesn't wanna share screenspace with Top male stars. I guess she's not been offered films where she has equal role opposite top A-List actors & wants to invest her own money and co-produce projects for herself.

Both PC and Kareena at the stage of their career where they don't care about number games anymore.
