Difficult to chose tbh. I liked both of them. Though I was a big Rani fan at some point of time but today my bias lies towards PC, so voted for her. Also, PC did a fan job portraying Jhilmil.

Rani in Hichki also deserves a place in the polls. Anyways Rani in Black/Hichki over the rest, any day anytime. Only Kalki come close. Sorry but SD was OTT in Sadma. The one not worth to be put here.

PC is my favorite but I'd be lying if I don't admit Kalki's performance is the best out of the options. 😆

No wonder she received national special award by the Jury which is given very rarely when someone exceeds beyond expectations of the jury. It can be given to anyone not just actors. This category is bigger than the best actor NA & prize is money is also 3x more.

But 2nd is definitely PC as Jhilmil ❤️

MrsRanveerSingh : Yeah! I never got the hype around Sridevi's performance (or as an actor either TBVH. except in English Vinglish I've never been blown away by her acting) in Sadmaa although it's considered to be the benchmark performance in Hindi Cinema for these type of roles.

Slightly unpopular opinion but mujhe genuinely lagta hai whenever any actor plays any specially challenged person onscreen we praise them to the moon but in reality it is just their version of being in that state, not necessarily authentic.

PC in barfi, margarita all these films me we don't have any yardstick or reference to compare their performances. Actors have entire gallery to play with it and present it the exxagerrated version that we fall for. Yeh mujhe kaafi off putting and caricaturish lagte hai because I haven't seen any person in person. Ek toh woh well researched nahi hote honge yaa well directed nahi hote honge. Aur hum log samjh lete hai agar Kia hai toh accha hi Kia hoga.

Rani in black, Ranbir in barfi and srk in MNIK are the only three performances I enjoyed, because they looked all natural.

Kalki (mwas) and Anushka (zero) played almost the same characters suffering from the exactly same physical challenge ..

Kalki got a special National award from the jury, and Anu got all the criticism for her over acting.

I can show 1000s people who praised anushka, most critism was for dialogue deliver but that was clearly on director's instruction. It is all about perceivance. There will be people enjoying such performance because we think they are difficult to pull off and we praise them for trying that even if we are not completely aware about the disease.
