Mahesh Bhatt himself is an A List director and Producer, Emraan Hashmi movies did well because of the budget but interns of gross is below a big film number.

Once Upon A Time in Mumbai is B list ??

Gangster is B list ? Director of that film did Barfi.

Murder 2 is B list ? Director of that did Aashiqui 2

Maybe you tell us what the difference between A and B list is ?? So we know your criteria

Gangster and Murder 2 were released before Barfi and Aashiqui 2. So yes, they were B-list. Once Upon a time in Mumbaai was Ajay movie.

But what makes them B list. They were Bhatt Films. Aren’t they A list ??? B list would qualify as unknown producers no ??? What is B list according to you ?

I don’t think B-list would be something unknown. There is a difference between unknown, flop and B-list. There are many star kids like Imran Khan, Tanisha Mukerjee, Esha Deol, Abhishek Bachchan and so many star kids that are flop but they are not known as B-grade actors actresses. B-grade is into different category. Actors that are B-grade usually does low budget movies that are filled with sex and kissing scenes. Same with the directors. Mahesh Bhatt might be famous director or producer but he was never taken seriously or respected like Dharma Banner, YRF, Rajshri Production, Nadiadwala or SLB. Nowadays every movies have kissing scenes but back then sometimes like 2000, it was different. Actors like Sunny, Bips, Poonam Pandey, Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata and Emraan Hashmi did those kinds of movies that fell into those categories. Even Emran gave hit movies but he was never considered A-list actors because of the quality movies that he did. That’s why he couldn’t last long like A-list actors.

Which is sad cause Zakhm is probably better than anything to come out of those studios.
