Especially after discovering the girl has premarital relationships with different caste,religion,guys that don't fit the parents' idea of achhe log. Izzat bachaneke liye they try to get rid of her.

I know the position of women in certain kind of households. I get your and ponymo's points. My thing was just that, I ain't gonna marry a girl, without knowing her properly, I won't just ask for the formality that "aap khush ho ish rishtey se" like a fcukng entitled retard and than she will nod her head like a fcuking moron in approval. I wasn't talking about those situations.

Companionship is the reason a relationship starts. But you need loyalty for it to be stable and long term. Loyalty does not mean unconditional support. It means a certain degree of trust in someone that they will be in your corner through good times and bad. Nahi toh no difference between being in a relationship with someone you know and being with a stranger. Even open relationships need loyalty that the partners are sincere and devoted enough to make it work.
