How do you know first hand if it was your “friend”? I have been to his workshops and he was nothing of that sort. 😑

He is a great choreographer, no doubt. But he needs to understand that some songs require simplicity.

For ex: Chammak Challo Chail Chabeeli from Rowdy Rathore (the movie was directed by Prabhudeva) was choreographed by Saroj Khan. Had Prabhudeva done it he would've messed up the song. Sarojji retained the simplicity and cuteness of the number.

Same way Suraiya needed simple yet peppy steps, not all the jumping jacks he made Kat do. It just messed up a fun song and looked cartoonish. Imo Geeta Kapoor or Saroj Khan would have choreographed it much better.

Songs like Kay Sera, Gandi Baat, Main Aisa Kya Hoon were suitable for his style of choreography.

Great that you din't get to witness any but my friend had a different experience to share...it was difficult for me to believe as well...

Madhuri in Kay Sera did better than Prabhu , Hrithik Did Better than Prabhu in Main Aisa Kyon Hoon and Shahid did amazing in R... Rajkumar songs.

Sai Pallavi and Dhanush in Rowdy Baby are amazing.
