In a gangster movie the girls have usually no role or at the most a flowerpot one- honestly it doesn't/shouldn't matter who plays it!

I much prefer Ranveers under Zoyas direction than SLBs. I’m excited for the combo but unsure of this gangster flick she’s writing. Let’s see 😆

Also in her movies the casting is always on point. I'm not a fan of Aloo but she was perfect for Safeena's role. Even in DDD, she got Ranveer and Priyanka who actually can pass off as siblings and children of Shefali and Anil to play the part. Anu was casted in DDD because of her natural chemistry with Ranveer. Vijay Varma, Siddanth, Amruta Subash, Vijay Raaz were all perfectly casted in GB.

I saw Zoya's interviews... She is very particular about casting. Will not cast people just for the heck of it. The actor has to suit the part and her vision.

So true about they all looking like one real family in DDD....and who can forget how perfect the GB supporting cast was- so perfect that each of them have had a separate story of their own which blended perfectly with the central story of Murad!

I forget to mention the perfect casting in Luck By Chance and ZNMD also.

I watched GB after a long time. Still gives me the feels. 😍

I think DP should just focus on convincing Vishal to do Sapna Didi again. Both Irrfan-DP and Vikrant-DP are pairings DP’s stans have been craving for plus then it would be her movie fully.
