Alia's fall and Shraddha's Rise - Page 2

The problem is that Shraddha doesn't do substantial work in these films. Shes a part of these great movies - but doesnt actually do anything in the film itself. Shes just there physically and barely has a role.

Her big hits - EV, ABCD2, Haider, Stree, Chichore - she has no role in them. The only movie where she had a role was Aashiqui-2.

Alia on the other hand gets PLUM roles. Where she has to perform and deliver!.

I do think Shraddha in Kalank wouldve been fire. Thats her kind of movie and I am shocked no one has casted her in that! SLB can really do wonders with Shraddha.

I didn't know that. She is keeping a low key ever since her breakup with Farhan. May be this is a part of image building.

Not overreacting..It's just my gut feeling that Alia will plummet just like Preity did..Suddenly and completely..

KJo genuinely seems bored of Aloo..He is a snake..Once he milks out enough from someone..He drops them..

I agree that Shraddha could do great in SLB movies..She is totally a misfit in movies like Haseena Parkar..Itna Hunar nahi hai to pull off...But sundar bahot hai wo.

Alia is gone girl. And I take credit for that 💪. Shraddha it is. And Shraddha may be 30 but she looks 20. So ageist folks on IF can take a hike.

Alia had a hit movie with a superhit character, Saafena.

Happy for Shraddha, but Aloo is still the top 2 heroine in the country.

I would be fine with that..Alia has been way overused in these past few years and I'm sick of her. More competition can only be a good thing, she has had it way too easy

The issue with Alia isn’t just that Kalank flopped. If that was the case she could have survived it like she survived Shandaar. The issue is that she really is going through a low phase. Her YouTube channel is flopping. Each video gets less views than the one before. Prada video flopped. Her attempt at reinventing herself as a sexy siren with Hook Up and Prada didn’t pan out. The People’s Choice nomination is the only positive thing for her recently and she got trolled for that too. On top of it all she’s had this image decline post her schtick with RK. And to make matters worse KJo seems to have really moved on. No tweets or posts about Prada, or her YouTube channel, or even her recent People’s Choice nomination. Who doesn’t tweet and brag about their protege getting nominated for this?

I don’t know if Shraddha will replace her or not. She’s not a very strong actress. She is older but honestly she doesn’t look it. She has more than just a couple of years. Her next is ABCD3 right? If that one becomes a Blockbuster like it’s expected to then yea she’ll be in a much better spot. But Jhanvi has a good line up and she seems very likable. KJo is also focusing on Ananya a lot. A lot also depends on how Sarah and Kiara’s next movies do. So if luck favors these girls and Alia’s low phase continues longer than yea ... bye bye Aloo.

Shraddha was quite good in the limited role she had in Chhichhore but the problem is that the film will be remembered for the boys ...its totally focussed on them ...so not sure how much of Chhichhore's success will help her...

Agree..I think Alia is losing considerable ground right now..like IamBolly said ...I don't think Brahmastra is going to do anything for her

Never said she is a bad actress..I've defended her multiple times in this forum ..Because I was blown away from Highway itself..She was so good! But yes fatigue has set in ..In her case..and Kalank has cost her a lot more than just a random flop IMO..

This isn't about acting skills..Shraddha definitely is not a great actor..She was a complete non actor until recently..Lol..It's more about whose luck is shining and whose stars are on the rise. There is no way she can carry off an entire movie on her shoulder either. But this year is hers ..

Janhvi might become next Alia..And Sara's upcoming movies seem thrash..She wants to be commercial heroine..I don't see intelligent choices from her end..Even though she showed so much promise in Kedarnath.

Ananya is annoying for the most part.
