Nepotism doesn't always win....

In one case, you have actors like Ishaan Kattar and Vicky Kaushal, who have ties to the industry but you don't see them all over and toted as the next best thing??? I think maybe because of their looks? Not saying these men are unattractive but I feel the audience has a type, and these two are not it.

What are your thoughts?

I watched Beyond the Clouds the other day and I thought Ishaan was very decent. Kind of cute, but not big hero type....but time will tell.

Don't know about Ishaan, but Vicky Kaushal is slowly but surely moving into that nepotism space. He had a public breakup with his girlfriend indicating that he is open for any linkups and is gelling up with the KJo clan very recently

If you talk about looks then Nepo kids are average or below, some even in acting department but still they are always called mega star, nex gen superstars etc... Some get sympathy and fans due to their parents....

They spend a lot on image building which outsiders don't have the money for... And that is what works for them ..

Kismat Kismat ki bhi baat hoti hai kabhi kabhi. And also the drive, ability to built connection and network in the industry.

Some people aren't into the chaplusi trait that some people have, for example as far as acting is concerned, Harshvardhan is far better than his sister or cousins, lekin aadmi ek toh zandu aur upar se doesn't look like someone who mingles well.

Let's get back to previous gen, Akshay Khanna arguably the most talented star kid never could take advantage of his father's popularity or he never wanted too. Abhay Deol best of all Deols, kabhi kahi pahucha hi nahi. Konkona also didn't dominate either Bengali movies nor BW, despite being arguably the best actress of her generation.

While a shit actor like Tiger or average actors like Sallu, Raveena, Karishma and Kareena have made it big.

Since all the working A listers are nepokids now, the battles are between nepokids vs. nepokids.

And the winners use the losers as example to show nepotism doesn't always win.

From which angle are Tiger Shroff/ Arjun Kapoor/Suhana Khan attractive? There are numerous ugly star kids than outsiders.

They literally just got started, especially Ishaan. The fact that we are talking about them itself is a testimony to the fact that they have been successful in making a mark
