Exclusive: Hrithik Roshan to play Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s next?

Mythology may once have been a lightweight genre. Not anymore. No wonder mainstream actors are gung ho about it. According to reports, mister perfectionist Aamir Khan was apparently toying with the idea of making The Mahabharata. On that note, the latest we hear, Super 30 star Hrithik Roshan is all geared up to play Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar’s next based on the holy epic Ramayana.

A source close to the project informs Filmfare that it will be a live-action trilogy, which will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film will be produced by Allu Aravind, Namit Malhotra and Madhu Mantena. The film will be made on a whopping budget of Rs 500 crores and will be shot in 3D. The source further reveals that Hrithik has already given his nod to the project and is already calling it his most ambitious project till date.

Fans have never really seen the star in a character like this, which makes the project all the more exciting. We are looking forward to an official big announcement by the makers of the film soon.

I don't think it's true. Although even if it is, I don't mind Hrithik doing it. It's a huge project, if it worked there will be no going back for him.
