Bollywood actors Dia Mirza and Randeep Hooda are not only known for their impeccable and versatile acting, but also for the love they harbor for animals. Both of them contribute the society as much as they can. Recently, the reports of a six-year-old Tigress being beaten to death by villagers in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit started doing rounds. The duo got involved in a war of words on Twitter where Dia accused the Forest Department officials of their inability to rescue the Tigress from the cruel villagers’ clutches.

It was on Friday morning when Bollywood actress Sandhya Mridul took to her official social media handle and shared the news article and wrote, “Action must be taken. This is the lowest human act.” Sharing the tweet on her social media page, Dia went on to say that ‘The tigress could have been rescued and given timely medical aid’ but due the Forest Department’s ‘inability to rescue the injured big cat in a span of over nine hours’ it reflects ‘their inability in protecting wildlife in adverse situations.’

Countering the accusations, Randeep felt that she made a ‘sweeping accusation’ against the Forest Department. He also stated that the tigress was ‘beyond rescue when found’ as he himself has talked with experts. Clarifying her previous tweet Dia stated that she had quoted the article and did not blame the Forest rangers and officials as she will always champion their cause as ‘they work with very frugal means and are brave, resilient, rakshaks of our lives.’

This is how the rest of the conversation took place

The article clearly states that forest officials were attacked too by the villagers and were not allowed to take the tigress for medical aid. I wonder why there is no awareness programmes for people living around such areas. How is it the tigress's fault if the man violated the rules. They need to take strict action against these villagers if they don't want to follow rules.
