Super 30 First Day Early Estimate

Super 30 had a decent first day of around 11-11.50 crore nett as per early estimates. The film picked up a little in the evening to get into double digits. The numbers are low for a Hrithik Roshan starrer but its a decent number for a film of this genre which does not offer much for the youth in terms of entertainment. The industry would have probably expected a higher number than 11 crore nett but for the trailer it was never going to go much higher unless there was a phenomenal pick up on the first day. The numbers are better than films like Raid and Padman which did have the asset of music as compared to Super 30 but on the other side were smaller films than Super 30.
There is an uptick in the evening so Saturday should see good growth to consolidate this opening number but the test will be on Monday as nowadays every film goes up on Saturday and some films can go up 30-40% and falter on the weekdays while others go up 30-40% and sustain collections post Sunday.
The film has done far better business in the urban cities while mass circuits have not performed especially single screens which are dull. The film has a wide of release which was probably not needed as its looking a big city multiplex film. If the likes of Gujarat, Bihar and Nizam can show big turnaround over the weekend especially on Sunday then the film could actually do good business and have a long run.
