Television star Karan Wahi is currently holidaying in London. However, he is in the headlines these days as rumours have been doing rounds on social media that he molested a 22-year-old model and got arrested for doing the same. However, Karan recently took to his Instagram handle and cleared the confusion. He mentioned on his Insta story that it was another person with the same name who got arrested and not him.
The reality is that a music composer whose name is also Karan Wahi and a producer named Mundhra Singh Nagar hosted a house party at their place in Malad, Mumbai. The victim was also invited to the same and was promised work too. One of them tried to hit on the model at the party. Next day, she filed a police complaint as she found scratches on her chest in the morning.
The model reported that the two sexually assaulted and abused her after she fell asleep. In fact, according to a report in Mid-Day, they promised to make her an assistant director of their next project. Therefore, the police put them in jail and charged them under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code. This confusion was created by some fans and journalists. On the work front, Karan appears in films, TV shows and web series. In fact, reportedly, he will be seen hosting a reality show.
