Whenever we think of the film Don, we are instantly reminded of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. While there was news that SRK will soon begin the shooting for Farhan Akhtar's Don 3, reports suggest that after walking out of Rakesh Sharma's biopic, King Khan has walked out of Don 3 as well. That's right! According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, "Khan has opted out of Don 3 for personal reasons and the Zoya Akhtar production franchise is still in the works, but with Khan bowing out, she is left without the main lead. We hear she has approached her favorite actor Ranveer Singh for Khan's spot and the two are still in talks. Well, knowing Zoya and Ranveer's camaraderie, it will come as no surprise that Ranveer Singh gets into SRK's shoes and comes onboard for the third installment of Don.
Not just this, if Ranveer Singh signs on, Zoya will consider another favorite of hers- Katrina Kaif as female lead. After the debacle of Aanand L. Rai's Zero, Shah Rukh Khan walked out of Rakesh Sharma's biopic, and in the latest, King Khan has walked out of Farhan Akhtar's Don 3. Earlier, it was reported that Don 3 was to go on floors by mid 2019 and the makers were on the lookout for a female lead, but with SRK walking out of Don 3, the hunt for the main lead starts again.
While the 2006 film Don starred Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles with Kareena Kapoor Khan playing a guest role, Don 2 was released in 2011 with SRK, PeeCee and Lara Dutta in the lead roles.
