Song is good but Somehow I am not feeling Alia in period movie , she isn't bad particularly but something doesn't click. And surprisingly Madhuri and Sonakshi are underwhelming, they are gorgeous but that doesn't show on screen this time, how so, it's strange. 😕

I agree with the others that the sets feel too much like sets. They don't give a feeling of being real places that people actually live in. Especially, the boat area with the lotuses feels very unreal. Those lotuses and leaves look products straight out of some school craft done by kids.
Coming to the characters, those 10 seconds of ARK and Sonakshi stole the song for me. That eyelock was breathtaking.

They look like tacky version of Sawariya sets.

I can understand many not liking the sets of Kalank .. but come on, Sawaariya sets have to be one of the most tackiest if not the most ... they looked "comical"... 😆 [imo Ofc you don't have to agree .. 😛]

Saawariya sets were beautiful. It was a fantasy film in a fantasy land in a fantasy time. It was all aesthetics nothing practical or realistic.

Kalank on the other hand seems to be set at a time and place in reality. So the sets being unreal does not make sense.

Saawariya was a lot of things but its art design was faultless. It was a beautiful blue world,almost fantastical. Thats the most praise it got. Nowhere near tacky.

Didn't find much beauty in it! ... Fantasy or otherwise, they looked juvenile, amateurish and very boring! ... I also found some of the sets on RL very tacky ... SLB has sense of aesthetics at the same time he can do tacky quiet well too! ... [Again I am entitled to my opinion, you don't have to agree!]

Kalank again it's your opinion so won't bother debating there! ..

Is it really a period movie? And pre partition? Then how come everyone is this free? The women are liberated in a way thats almost comical. This is nowhere close to reality. I wish they didn't place the movie in a certain time frame cause noway society was this tolerant and free in that age. It looks like at any given moment someone would pop a phone and take a selfie 😳

Love the song though. Arijit rarely goes wrong.
