Remakes have become such a trend these days...and its mainly just coz the music industry lacks originality and true talent so they are surviving on what the veterans have left for them.
My qs is since the makers of a film have to make remakes of songs, should they get the recreations done by the original music composers?
Since a song is a composer's baby, they can give it the best possible treatment with the new technology.
Example: I really liked the two songs remade for Judwaa, they still had the essence of the original, and I think Anu Malik was involved creatively for the remake..so obviously the finished product would be good. Other than that I just enjoyed two remakes- Aankh Maarey and Laila Main Laila...the other songs were mainly butchered and sounded like an EDM-Bollywood-too many-beats mess 😆
So what do u guys think?
