And when you have people like Kananga, Karthik, Tapsee and so on crying about it, when these guys have gotten tonnes and tonnes of chances themselves before they got recognized themselves, it is freaking terrible. People cry about Tapsee not getting opportunities, god damn, she got a full movie where Akki was playing her sidekick, she was playing a proper badass, she has gotten nearly 5 releases last year with strong content based roles like Mulk and Manmarziyaan.

Kangana Madam is getting to f**k everyone from production houses to directors to costars to spot boys as per wishes while being given full free reign to be the A-hole of highest of the highest order. But oh she isn't getting opportunities, she is outcast.

Baat simple Hai, everyone wants the movies that Alia does to be given to others because hey f**k logic, we have to show how cool we are that we are hating on nepotism. And what is funny is people will call all her movies average to bad to overrated. How many people were confident, Raazi would do great?? None, most people gave lukewarm response to the trailer in this forum, and suddenly when movie became a hit, it was all because of ONLY content(key word is ONLY, so don't come up with stupid rebuttal).

The pattern people have is ''Oh movie wasn't that good, that other character was an interesting one, Alia's character didn't had a proper writing, it wasn't connecting and blah blah. Matlab on one hand movie is meh, Alia's character wasn't well woven and so on, and on another hand that role is bone of contention.
it is like KWK, KWK is stinking pile of shit, but why isn't my ABZ Chaman outsider invited. Alia movies sucks, but they should have gone to AVZ.

How is this even an argument. Alia is getting films that are written with her in mind. Tapasse gets what's offered. Andhadhun was offered to Harsh then he rejected it and wanted to debut with ROM. Isn't that nepotism? You get to pick the work even before you have a slate of work? Same with Sara Ali Khan. This girl had two movies back to back.

Anyway, I'm glad streaming services are making people watch movies that don't have NEPO kids in them. Honestly, if not most all nepo kids are mediocre. They don't have anything to offer. Personality, acting, etc are just below average. Media and Kjo are the ones hyping them up. Ranbir plays a man child in every film... and acts like one in real life with no consequences. That is previlage... when you have a range of choices.

I have no issue when people talk about the evils of nepotism.

My arguments isn't against anti-nepotism as a whole, as I have already said in the first line.

Starkids having the liberty to get movies even before they debut is a pattern which sucks and needs to be changed and opposed.

But my argument is people still crying about Alia' movies. The ship has sailed for crying about Alia's roles. Tapsee got roles like Pink, Baby, Naam Shabana, Mulk and Manmarziyaan. But people will cry about why doesn't she get casted in Alia roles. Makes no sense.
Naam Shabana was released in more screens than Raazi, had similar theme, had a similar promotion pattern, had a good origin story, patriotic theme, was a franchise movie and had Akki cameo. Still did no business like Raazi.

Still we have people who cry foul when Alia is signing new movies, as if she is Athiya Shetty, shoved down despite people rejecting her. See that is where this nepotism debate is getting pointless. Alia is now one of the biggest star in the country, and people still act like she gets only because of Kjo nowadays too. Which is bullshit and anyone with sane brain, can sew that Kjo doesn't wanna give his golden hen to anyone, not for free, hence has himself and his PH inserted in all her projects. These arguments against Alia getting roles only because of Kjo became stale as soon as 2 States delivered in a huge way.

Also Ranbir being mediocre is your POV, doesn't make it a universal truth.

Anyone with a working brain who actually works for a living and is not from a privileged background can find the truth in what she says. Maybe my perception would have been colored if I had lived in India my entire life and had nepotism been such a deep rooted part of life. But I'm glad I'm not because I can then see the truth for what it is. How amazing it would be if there was such a thing as equal opportunity in Hindi film Industry, what amazing talents could come forth and shine. Just recent example was, Siddanth Chaturvedi in Gully Boy. I will still keep that hope for the future and hope and wish Kangana keeps talking about it and drumming it into peoples' heads however annoying they find the topic to be.

Because for a country of almost billion people, it is such a shame that one of the biggest political parties is run by one family, with an entire party being passed down as some kind of Virasat, along with all that political power. Seeing that, I think India still has a LONG long way to go in terms of equal opportunity and on building a society based on MERIT and not simply family connections.

These are the type of criticisms that are made of people who don't agree ???

Dragonboy... Try harder to stir up shit! 😆 It's not for me to comment on who has a working brain or not, but if you yourself are volunteering to be the person who that statement relates to, then who am I to stop you?! LOL. Though Tbvh, I wasn't trying to target anyone. I was just saying how common this type of thinking can be or how easy it can be to understand for anyone with a "functioning" brain who is also working from a non privileged background. To understand ANY thing, you need a functioning brain. So that is definitely the first criteria, if you have that, good job you passed. 😆

Maybe your prejudice and biases have colored your perception. Or, you simply are too privileged or indifferent to care about it, or you are so used to the privilege and the things it offers people that you are in no mood to have the system be changed or altered for the better. There are various factors contributing to why you don't understand. I guess I forgot to add those various exceptions to the case in my comment. But, don't worry. The rest of us who those exceptions don't apply to definitely understand. 😆
