He walked out of yrf because they Wasted his precious 2 yrs with their delays of Paani, he was offered slb films but had to let go because of date clashes, when Paani was shelved he was rightfully expecting compensation for lost time And yrf didn't even honour that so he Walked out, it was a bold decision Because not many outsiders have guts/stupidity to walk out from yrff, He is a Good actor problem is he is experimenting too much too soon, he doesn't have a stable fan base And sonchiriya wont Help, he Have to do commercial movies like low budget small town romcoms which are a trend these days- Ayushmann, Rajkummar and now Kartik have tasted success in this genre.

This is for those (Both fans n actors) who were crying tht the film didn't get a proper release...LOL
the fact is - no 1 likes Sushant as a major star and he does not have box office pull

Sonchiriya is a disaster with collections of 3.50 crore nett over the first weekend. There was no growth on Saturday when this film is for the high end multiplexes which collect best on Saturday. There are reports that the artists are not happy with the size of the release but actually the release is far too big for this type of film. It should actually just release on 200 odd multiplexes. When a film practically has no audience then more screens will make no difference. Collections come with footfalls not extra screens. The weekend collections of Sonchiriya are as follows.

Friday - 1,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 1,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 1,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 3,50,00,000 apprx

Rather than asking his fans to watch his movies that they are not happy about why can't he think about what his fans want him to do and strike a balance. He can't seem to strike a balance that is needed to survive in this industry. His script choices don't appeal to the larger section of the audience and if he keeps choosing those scripts for his personal satisfaction than maybe he has to make peace with the fact that he may not be able to pull in more audience for those movies. Fans can't make sure he survives in the industry. Its for him to do that by making smart choices and grow his fan base before expecting such loyalty out of them.

How much screens a movie gets Depends on the potential of the movie And that potential depends on various factors like plot, star cast, music, trailer etc etc Only handful of stars can attract audience only on their name. Sonchiriya storyline is outdated and have no impact anymore And it was a foregone conclusion right from its inception!!! why this is not discussed, What about rest of the cast? why couldn't they lure the audience? Movie flopped because of only one factor- Sushant!!!This selective pinning down of a individual is sad but expected. One thing more- yes box office returns depends on footfalls you get footfalls when more n more people watch the movie But how can they watch the movie when there are no screens available , it's a circle everything is interdependent But people have interest in everything but not Sushant !!!😆

Ofcourse ... Kedarnath success is not his success ...but Sonchiriya's failure is only his failure 😆
No one likes him as a movie star but his insta following jumped from 5 point something to 7.6 million after Kedarnath hit the screens...

His issue was not Paani. Paani was rightfully shelved as SSR was not bankable and budget was going off the charts. His issue was success of MS Dhoni went into his head. And he started acting all starry belittling everyone's flops. Even decided, HE should advise Aditya Chopra n Ranveer after Befikre flopped.

This guy is proof that Education without common sense or attitude means Nothing.

Why did Adi Chopra stop him from signing other films ? That was the question there...thats what pissed him off ...lot of projects don't happen...no producer holds back the actor from doing other films...Adi Chopra ' s known habit this is...like he din't let Vani , Pari sign films...stopped Shradha from signing Aashiqui 2 ...Shradha and Sush both showed some guts and walked out...
And who's flop has he belittled ? He only spoke about Befikre which I agree was not right but it was his anger on Adi and rightfully so.

When did success went to his head?He gave one statement about befikre and that too because he was asked about it but the way Ranveer fans took offense is annoying. He never belittled anybody. Also his iifa tweet was taken out of context and media made it sound like he dissed Shahid which he didn't. As I said if his PR was strong half of these negative cooked up stories wouldn't be published.
