People saying Ranveer got overshadowed should watch Zoya's interviews where she said that MC Sher is a legit pro rapper but Ranveer was just this boy who is a poet trying his hands at rap for the first time unlike MC Sher so he was playing the part of a newbie learning. Ranveer character was never suppose to outshine MC Sher. The brief Zoya gave him was followed by Ranveer to the tee. So saying that MC Sher overshadowed Ranveer is actually a compliment and a testament to his talent.
