Is Parineeti still a good actress?

So I watched Meri Pyaari Bindu, Golmaal 4, and Namaste England. One thing I noticed in all 3 movies is that Parineeti seems to have lost the charm that she once had in her earlier days. Something about her acting in these movies felt off. I ended up loving Ayushmann more than her in MPB.

Does anyone who has seen these movies feel the same way? If so, why do you think she has lost her acting chops?

She always played bubbly and loud characters.This was basically Kareena's claim to fame. No one likes it after awhile.

TBH, I really think that Parineeti had a lot of potential to grow. Her beginning was much more solid and promising than the likes of Alia or Shraddha.

BUT, I think Parineeti just developed such a low opinion of herself because of her weight and how every contemporary actor of her age have stated how she isn't attractive and all. She is like a buddy to them and not desirable. To be honest, that affects a girl. From Sonam Kapoor to Karan Johars clan have all criticized her for her weight or appearance or dressing. She is a cute girl. Not hot or sexy (which she is striving for). But I guess that was her downfall. She focused so much on her looks and her weight issues that she put her "acting" in the backseat. She has to understand that she can't be a Katrina or Deepika. She has to make her own space. But since she shifted focus to her looks, she stopped growing as an actress whereas Alia has come and grown leaps and bounds and has done much more work than her in a shorter span of time. Yes, she had Karan Johar but Parineeti could have easily avoided this setback if she hadn't taken that long break. She also selected roles where she wanted to look glamorous like Kill Dill or Meri Pyari Bindu or even that atrocious item song with Varun. She seems to be running after glamour.

Even Ranveer had a Kill Dill, Gunday, and Befikre. Look where he is now. He debut only a year before her. And Alia was trashed for SOTY. Look where she has come in terms of acting. I'm not saying Alia is an amazing actress but she really did roles like Highway, Udta Punjab and now Gullyboy very well. She is proving that she can be good in commercial films as well as niche ones.

Naah, shes lost whatever charm she had in the beginning, shes lost all the confidence she had in her debut film

Meri Pyari Bindu was a pathetic film with a meaningless ending, Pari was really bad in it, Ayushmaan was tolerable

In Golmaal Again she was fine, I liked the 2nd half more because of the ghost + revenge theme

I still feel so sad when I watch Ishaqzaade. Both Parineeti and Arjun were so good. Both of them had such earthy raw appeal then.

YRF and Adi both are Dementors. Neither did they explore Pari's potential to the fullest nor could she move away from their crutches.

She was awful in namaste london. It was as if she never faced camera before..it was that bad. She did wrong things at the wrong time n that sealed her fate.
