She was always criticized for only making movies about rich people, and was seen by many (including me) as wrong choice for Gully Boy, movie about poor background people and I am glad she proved us all wrong.


[Note: I haven't seen the movie yet, going tomorrow, but coming across members reviews, people praising he movie and her direction in youtube videos, I think she has done a very good job].

You know, I was thinking along the exact same lines
She has done a tremendous job as a director here, and leaves one feeling emotional. What a great soulful movie Gully Boy is. Though I felt the pace was slow and the duration long, I can't get it out of my head since I came out of the theatre.

I have always loved all her movies ZNMD LBC n DDD... She is a good director n all this rich /poor is nonsense... Kyun bhai slum ke baare main movie banane keliye poor hona padta hai? Lol tho phir slb pata nahi kaunsa Era ki hai
