After being released on so many screens, it barely manages to gross 8 crores on opening day. This from the self-proclaimed queen herself, who runs down everyone and everything else. I think this film is going to put a seal on Kangana's career. So many female-driven films, but she cannot bring audiences to theatres, which is a shame.
Is this the last nail in Kangana's coffin? She should be ashamed she tried to compete with Dee[ika in 2015, because of one film which worked mostly because of content. She has always had a limited audience.

There goes another of Deepika's competitors😛

Frankly, it's sad it had to be this movie. But I hope people stop investing money in Kangana. She needs to get off of her high horse now. And stop ruining people's work and discrediting them. Only when she gets no work, maybe she will decide to mellow down. How sad that I used to be a fan of this crazy person. Comparing her to Deepika is just ridiculous.

She has one movie in the post-production process and another in filming stage.
If a Sonakshi has been able to live on an overhyped Lootera performance (my opinion) followed by several flops and many bad to average performances then Kangana is surely here to stay.
She's a rare one. She's managed to become an A lister when she was B list. She managed to have movies made solely for her.

I hope she'll keep working and doing excellent performances.

Kangana has ruined the chances of a female centric high budget action / warrior film being made in Bollywood anytime soon...these big event films need to open big and such poor opening of Manikarnika will just reaffirm the industry's age old belief that female centric films can't open big...what a golden opportunity wasted.
As for actor Kangana ...no...she is here to stay but if the director Kangana continues to ruin her projects like these then I don't know.

And Piku was what? A content less film without the presence of any big star? Give credit where it's due. TWMR opened much bigger than Piku despite the presence of Big B only and ONLY because of Kangana. Madhavan is not a saleable face. And one can only gauge content after seeing the film which negates the argument that it got opening because of it's content.

Kangana was at an all time high after Queen. She had tasted a lot of success and that's why TMWR opened to good numbers. Not because of content but because people wanted to see a Kanpuri and a Haryanvi Kangana.

Piku and Finding Fanny have been Deepika's only solo films without a Khan or a Kapoor or a Singh. Compete that with a Queen and a TWMR which were Kangana's solo releases, Kangana has definitely tasted more success as a solo heroine than Deepika has in her career. People like to see Deepika and Ranveer together more than Deepika alone.

If it's a good movie it will pick up soon, no matter how annoying Kangana is. But if this is successful , that will be the nail in coffin. There will be no stopper on her mouth and she will dig her own grave.

Kangana will keep getting films, she is super talented.

Manikarnika opened the same as the poorly rated Kedarnath.

one thing is clear..a big budget costume drama, with lavish sets and patriotic fervor to boot.the Audience is unmoved.

The hazaar historical films in production should be very worried.

To copy SLB is different from being SLB.

3000 screens and 7.5 crores is a DISASTER.
