it's not a made up story. In many traditional households there are rules like this that men must eat first while women serve them. then in the end women eat.

yea, but I have never heard of the men hitting the kids from the family just cause they ate before the men.

don't know about hitting but there was a girl I knew who wasn't allowed to do some things the boy kids in the home did and once her uncle scolded her for that. If her grandfather had a bad temper then it's not so unbelievable that he hit her for it. Kids are not exempt from being hit just because they are kids, especially girl kids in homes like this

In normal scenario, I would say its possible, but in her case, the mountain of lies are so high, that its difficult to believe... who knows she might be lying about everything ...even the opposition from her family, just to show herself as the victim who fought against it...
