The problem is that he is representing the country and when you are playing for your national team, you are expected to be responsible.
Cricket is a sport which is followed by billions and players are worshiped and idolized,

when you are an idol for someone, you need to be more responsible when you come on a public platform.

The statements and comments he made does not give a good example to the ones idolizing him.

Nor does it reflect on a player representing the nation internationally

Bura phasa, the fact that he should know that he is no more a simple guy, He is associated with indian cricket. he isnt aware of certain things. Sometimes, its best to keep it private.
yeh toh aise bol raha hai I did it jaise kisi friend ne challenge kiya tha isse bachpan main ki tu jab bada hoga tab himmat hai toh chat show main jaake bolna i did it. LOL.

Having sex is not wrong. But kissing and telling is wrong.
Having casual sex is not wrong. But treating your partners as conquests and objects of pleasure is wrong.
Having sexual preferences is not wrong. But crassly defining them and demeaning others who don't meet them is wrong.

If none of your parents are of African descent than HELL YES! f**kING RACIST AS HELL.

He didn't name anyone therefore I don't understand how it becomes wrong. He just said I have sex. So did Arjun Kapoor in last season's KWK.

How is one supposed to see their partners during episodes of casual sex or one night stands - be it male or female? Are they supposed to think about what a good soul they have, or have a conversation on GST and demonetization and then get to the main part that is sex and pleasure for a night? Isn't the girl who is looking for casual sex also seeing the man she wants to have sex with just as someone with whom she just wants to have sex with? Isn't pleasure the main part of casual sex??? Now, why pull him up just because he said how things in his circle work??

And what's with conquest? Was this word used in the conversation? I am not aware.

And the African part - there we go with the liberal political correct bullshit. The man didnt demean the community. He didnt pass crude comments..he just said when he hangs out with his west Indian mates, he feels he can relate because it kind of goes with his personality which only shows he has no ill feeling towards them. But...but..but let's outrage because he said he is black and completely miss the context.

P.S - Cannot.believe.i am.defending.that.Hardik Pandya.

Why pinpoint him alone. Lot of other celebrities have come on the show and boasted of their conquests. Ranbir Kapoor is one of them. However it's typical of men who brag about getting women and annoying as well.

meone else's culture and identity to make yourself appear cool. It is especially wrong when you take an oppressed identity and make it your own. It is racist to call yourself black simply because you emulate their culture and style to appear cool. It is racist to call yourself black when you have light skin privilege and will never experience oppression like they do. It is racist to enjoy black culture and mannerisms when black people will actually be looked down on or discriminated against for doing the same.

For me it's not about being liberal or politically correct. It is about respecting people and their identities.

No it's not wrong, it's not wrong to like, appreciate, relate to other cultures, the whole "cultural appropriation" is a absolute bullshit, if you want to go down that road, then you should shed every western influence you have imbibed, from your clothes, to technology, to their language, and to ideologies and ideas that emerged from the west, which you are completely "appropriating", and then you can point fingers at others.

I guess she means all men think about sex, which is disgusting to her, the idea of men thinking about women sexually, something completely natural, is disgusting to some people. 😆

A person representing our country internationally should know that it comes with responsibility.

you cannot trash talk when there are people from different ages, backgrounds following you and idolizing you.

Imagine if Sachin Tendulkar, whom the world looks up to, making such statements...do you think it will give a good example...

You cannot make statements like "Aaj main kar ke aya , don't ask for the girls names as I only see them move, black culture etc etc...

Is this how a person representing national team talks...

when he comes on a public platform, he needs to be responsible on what he says.

On top of that, the way he said it and his attitude angered many even more.

Glad that BCCI took action and also hope he loses his endorsements, when money goes, he will get back his senses...

well said! It isn't an issue if he sleeps with a thousand girls on one night, as long as he doesn't use a public platform where he will be seen and influencing millions of impressionable fans who idolize them as national icons.
Problem is when a dirt bag on the regular middle class neighborhood takes it as an inspiration and acts like it.
With power you inherit responsibility. And that's what they violated. Maybe the cricketboard might not do disciplinary action, but the loss of endorsements would be a real good thing!! Well deserved!

Pandya was being a douche. One of those people who just gives you the creeps.
Rahul I thought was still ok.

I don't know though how BCCI can interfere in anything that happens off field.

This show does nothing but ruins life..

Second you can't kick talented young ppl based on stupid comments they make..

With the batt and the ball... pandya has no match in international cricket... it's hard to find a cricketers like that around the world.. India should be happy they finally got a very well balanced.. level headed alrounder.

Now I am not saying he shouldn't be punished.. fine him.. but don't create an environment for him that distract him or create interference with his game..

He has the potential to win the wc for India.. mark my word..

So by that same argument we should let talented people do their acting/sports job even if they are criminals/rapists/crooks... just because they are talented.🤢😲
He chose to be a public figure, he chose to go on Karan's show. He is responsible for his words.
