The buzz is for the subject matter. Even if people don't like her, i am sure many would watch for Rani Laxmi Bai. Or else real buzz is low. I might be wrong but the buzz is slightly more than Zero but Zero had SRK and one of the widest release and promotion.
That one was Rangoon 😆

I was thinking the same thing. Why Kangana or team Manikarnika promoting the movie? I see Uri trailer on tv but yet to see Manikarnika trailer on tv even.

Maybe the producer is out of money because the movie went over-budget?😆

Didn't the ulta happen for Zero, despite the floppies giving 20cr opening the trade wallahs called it a disaster from 1st day 1st show. Arre baba jis admi se pichle 4 saal se lower opening aur flops aa rahe hai, uske liye 20cr opening se bhi Baajirao jaise success aa jati. Either RCE were not aware of the new trend or Kjo paid double in advance.

I was interested to see Manikarnika because of the subject but it IS strange there's no big buzz about it.

Maybe Kangana is trying a different tactic and decided to be quiet until it's nearer to release, so she hasn't got much time to make a lot of W*F -type statements. She might have realised she is not coming out well lately.

Maybe they go for a blitz promo type.. start on the 10th or 12th and do 14-16 days of huge promo tour, interviews etc ...

Or maybe the promo/buzz team is still working on a 'scandal'.. or 'issue' angle to give Manikarnika its buzz..

It is weird, indeed. They should have had their stuff sorted.

They relied on traditional tactics buy tickets worth of 2 cr and pay some public. It backfired 😆
KJo just let them take the bullet for him 😆
Taran is probably so pissed of getting zero Rs from RCE that he aint even reporting 2nd week collection 😆

on another note

promotions are useless and they are very 2010-15s

they will soon be finished..they do pretty much nothing for a movie

even the stars promoting now are so miserable and keep saying..promotions don't do much. it is all the trailer..etc etc

kareena katrina etc all say they dislike promotions and the reason VDW worked and opened was not promotions but a well received trailer..and why could nothing happen for zero despite so many promotions..they are bogus and waste of money

Wahin toh. Purana formula. Should have paid Twitter trade guys instead. Movie kharab tha lekin is se bhi kharab movies ke liye badhao chadhao on special days worked. Kjo aur uss se pehle Ronnie Screw wala's team used to do that. Dekhna, Uri aur Dosanj wali Dharma film ke liye bhi yeh hoga. Movie opened well, showing growth type tweets aayenge trade walon se. Iss ke baad bhi kuch movies flop ho jaate hai, jaise TOH, Ittefaq, Suit Dhaga... Trade walon ke padding aur banawati public reviews ke baad bhi pit gayi. I remember Kjo called Ittefaq a hit on its 1st week. LOL

RCE will use the same for the next movie. By that time if the trend changes woh wali movie bhi suffer karegi. The trends keep changing every year, Kjo being a social media stalker understands which trend is in and which out.
