Over the weekend, we reported that Katrina Kaif has opted out of Remo D'souza's dance flick starring Varun Dhawan. Producer Bhushan Kumar told us that they had begun talks with other actresses to step into Kat's shoes and will announce the female lead once they finalise someone. At the same time, speculations have been rife that the Judwaa 2 actor is keen that Shraddha Kapoor, his co-star from ABCD 2, also helmed by Remo, be brought on board.
However, an industry source tells us that two names top the wish list of the movie's makers. "With Shraddha on board, it would be a reunion of the ABCD 2 trio, along with Varun and Remo. They have an equation and that would help in their collaborating on another dance flick, says our source, adding, "The other strong contender for the role is Sara Ali Khan. She has proved her acting chops in Kedarnath and has been appreciated in Simmba too. Signing her would also mean a fresh new onscreen pair. And Varun and Sara together are bound to generate tremendous buzz for this dance movie. So yes, the makers are definitely looking at the advantage of casting Sara for the film.
Her buzz is high but I don't think she is a great dancer to do a full movie on it.
