'Kabir Singh' is an upcoming film starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani as the leads, directed by Telegu director Sandeep Vanga. The movie will be a remake of superhit Telegu movie 'Arjun Reddy' directed by the same director (there the leads were Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey). Kabir Singh has been jointly produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series.

The shooting is going on and the first look poster is already out in the internet. The presumed release date of Kabir Singh is June 21, 2019.

When the film's title was announced as 'Kabir Singh', Vijay took to Twitter and wished the team of the film the very best. He said, "Kabir Singh! Arjun Reddy wishes you the best :) "

Vanga was confident that the remake would be even more hard hitting: "When I made Arjun Reddy, I wasn't sure where to draw the line in terms of representation of certain things. I don't think I'd have to restrict myself when it comes to the Hindi version. I believe I'll have more freedom in Bollywood."

According to Vanga, "Kiara epitomises the female character in the film to the T. She has the perfect combination of innocence (in terms of looks) and maturity (in terms of performance) that's so important for the character".

Kabir Singh': Shahid Kapoor calls Vijay Devarakonda's performance in the original "inspiring

Shahid Kapoor has a promising project in his roster which is 'Kabir Singh', a remake of the critically acclaimed Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy'. Recently, the actor engaged a social media conversation with the actor of the original film Vijay Devarakonda.

When the film's title was announced as 'Kabir Singh', Vijay took to Twitter and wished the team of the film the very best. He said, "Kabir Singh! Arjun Reddy wishes you the best :) @imvangasandeep - Full power to you my man. Shahid responded in kind to his wishes as he called Vijay's performance in the film as "inspiring and that he will "always be the original. Arjun Reddy remake: Kiara Advani to share screen space with Shahid Kapoor

Lust Stories fame Kiara Advani will join Shahid Kapoor in the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy. The film is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Actor Kiara Advani has been paired opposite Shahid Kapoor in the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Kiara, who was most recently seen in Netflix's Lust Stories, will essay the role of Shahid's love interest.

"Arjun Reddy has always been one of my favourite films. There are so many shades to the heroine's character. I'm very excited about it, Kiara said in a statement.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who also helmed the original critically-acclaimed Telugu blockbuster, the remake will go on floors next month.

"Kiara epitomises the female character in the film to the T. She has the perfect combination of innocence (in terms of looks) and maturity (in terms of performance) that's so important for the character, Vanga said.

The original film, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead, revolved around a medical student who falls in love with his junior and how their relationship evolves. The remake will be produced by T-Series and Cine1 Studios.

Shahid Kapoor, who was recently seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu, will now start work on Arjun Reddy alongside his co-star Kiara Advani. Kiara made her debut with the 2014 film Fugly but got recognition with the 2016 film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. It was with director Karan Johar's Lust Stories that Kiara actually got noticed for her work.

Shahid Kapoor to shoot in 8 colleges in Delhi for Kabir Singh

Shahid Kapoor will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy which is titled Kabir Singh. The actor has already shot for certain portions of the film and will be resuming shoot back on January 3 next year after the New Year's break. The upcoming schedule will be shot in Delhi and the team will be filming the 37-year old actor's college portions.

A report in a leading daily claims that the shooting of the film will be carried out across eight different colleges across the capital. A source close to the project revealed, "Shahid will be shooting in Delhi for a 25-day schedule with his leading lady Kiara Advani, for which he will be sporting a new look that comprises a short crop and trimmed beard. Out of the eight colleges booked for the schedule, one will be used to film football portions, another for classroom scenes, the third one for canteen scenes and so on.

Interestingly, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who had also directed the Telugu original, is making his Bollywood debut with its Hindi remake. After the Delhi schedule, Shahid and Kiara will move to Mussoorie by January-end for a five-day romantic song shoot, which will also mark wrap-up for the film.

TV actress Nikita Dutta joins Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh

Shahid kapoor's Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of Sandeep Vanga's 2017 Telugu movie Arjun Reddy.First it was Ms Dhoni: an untold story fame Kiara Advani joined the team and now another actress to join the team is Nikita Dutta. TV actress Nikita Dutta, was last seen in the Akshay Kumar-Mouni Roy starrer Gold. While Shahid Kapoor has begun shooting for the film in Mumbai.

According to source TV actress Nikita's character helps Shahid's Kabir deal with depression after his break-up with girlfriend Preeti.

For the unversed, the shooting of Kabir Singh began in October in Mumbai, and while Nikita's part will be shot in Mumbai, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will be heading to Delhi and Mussoorie to shoot other important sequences

In the film, Shahid Kapoor will be playing the role of an alcoholic surgeon who has anger management issues. After his ex ties the knot, Shahid Kapoor treads on a self-destructive path and that is when Nikita Dutta's character steps in and helps Kabir Singh (Shahid) deal with depression.

This film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani. Apart from Shahid Kapoor, Lust stories actor Kiara Advani well also be seen in the lead role.

Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Teena Singh in the lead roles, is a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. The film is being helmed by Sandeep Vanga who directed the original version as well.

The film is a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy, featuring Vijay Deverakonda. Kabir Singh is being helmed by Sandeep Vanga who directed the original version as well.

"I had such a good time working with Shahid. Sandeep Sir had shown me the original, but gave me the freedom to make it my own. Shahid is such a gentleman. He made sure that I was comfortable on set since I'm new to the film industry, Teena said in a statement.

The film is being co-produced by Cine1 Studios.

"This is my second association with them. I did a special appearance in the AltBalaji show Broken But Beautiful' that Cine1 had produced earlier this year, she said.

The "Sense8 actress is also doing a mythological film.
