Simbaa has had a good advance of around 8 crore nett. It is the sixth best advance of the year but that its pretty good as only seven films this year have taken an advance and they are listed below. The other film which would have had an advance was Padmaavat but that did not open release plans till very late.

Simmba is not the advance film but more of a on the day audience type film and also it has a regional feel which will limit the audience in places as far as the regional is concerned. The comparison for this film is probably Baaghi 2 but that was out and out action and a more universal film compared to Simmba but Simbaa has done well to get close to the advance of Baaghi 2 despite having one day less for the advance.

The advance is around 4.50 crore nett less than last weeks release Zero but that is the Shahrukh Khan factor. This film is a mass film so there will be a bigger Friday crowd which should cover the shortfall. The top advance of 2018 are as follows and these are the only seven films to take and advance with Thugs Of Hindostan being a record for outright Hindi films in terms of collections.

Note - The advance for 2.0 was for less than 2 days while Simbaa is less than 4 days..
