Rohit Shettys keenly awaited masala entertainer Simmba finally releases tomorrow .There are several factors that go in its favour

-Zero competition with last weeks Zero breathing its last
-Ranveer Singh arriving after the carrer defning moment in Padmaavat
-Rohit has an amazing track record except for an anomaly called Dilwale
-The HYPE surrounding Sara Ali Khan .Her craze is real!
-The CHARTBUSTER song Aankh maare is playing literally everywhere!

Are you keen to watch the movie ?

failure of TOH, has sucked my interest tbh.
This is the first year since well maybe 2010, I have missed a Katrina movie in theaters.

This one purely depends on my friend's zeal😆

I think the back to back failure of big movies like TOH and Zero has literally demoralized a lot of BW enthusiasts...You are saying Zero breathing its last can favor Simmba but me thinks its actually the other way round...If Zero was a hit, it would've brought in more people to the theaters...Now? A lot of people(at least the ones around me) are like, 'dekhenge yaar-lets wait for the WOM..don't want to take anymore risks'...
Even I personally am feeling like I need to take a big hiatus from watching the BW movies(in the theaters)!... Sighh!

Wow ..Did not think like that .

But I have observed a pattern this year .Only Khan movies have taken a hit this year while non Khan movies have worked quite well.Just see the pattern

Sanju and Dhadak arrived after Race 3 ..both hits
Kedarnath and 2.0 arrived after TOH and both did really well.

May be Simmba can follow this pattern coming after Zero 😉

I'm Veer fan but I just spent a bomb and wasted a day at cinemas cos of one film. So have to wait for this film. Maybe second week of jan I'll catch it. Initially plan was to watch it on my bday but oh well! Want the film to do well though! Just for Veer!

Edited : crazy WOM so watching it earlier than planned. Thank god for the positive WOM, made it easier to convince mum to treat me.

Yes. Just for Ranveer's conviction that it is an out and out full-on masala entertainer.
