I do think some people are being too ott with reviews and some giving praise where things are very mediocre. It's not like every critic said it was bad. I feel that the film over all was not put together well. Like 3 movies in one and they didn't sync together right. And the end was just weird...all logic lost.

General audience are hating the film. Only on IF I see people praising it. There is a reason for low collections.

Bhardwaj Rangan, the only decent critic in India and National Award winner, also gave a very positive review.

SRK and Katrina have also gotten amazing reviews for their acting from nearly everyone.

It's okay it it doesn't reflect in big numbers at the box office. That's how it is sometimes. There's always next time.

I mean, Bhardwaj Rangan's review wasn't really THAT positive, which he has clarified himself now due to the misunderstanding. 😆

I really have no idea why the movie has generated such horrible WoM/reviews. Its no worse of than many of the movies we've had come out in the last few years. Its well made, its engaging, it does require suspension of disbelief but so do all Bwood movies.

I think the biggest flaw is the editing... the second half needed a firmer editor..it jumps from place to place..eg Katrina kicking SRK out..no idea what caused her change of mind/heart or Bau Singh getting woke- two very engaging story points but horribly executed. It felt more like showing rather than letting the audience experience the characters' growth..

Also the way Anushkas character was written- I dont know- I never connected with her.. I could empathise with Bauu Singh despit him being a chu of the first order, I felt for babs but zilch for aafiya.. I dont know why they had to model her on Stephen Hawking.. that was quite ridonks...She could have been a fit Astronaut with Aspergers and that would have worked just as well plotwise!
