He had his concerns but of course he loved the script and trained really hard to achieve the look and acted really well. So? Ranbir like every actor worth his salt wants to work with Hirani what is the big deal? Hirani felt he is the only actor who can pull off of Sanjay.That says a lot about Ranbir's talent. And he worked his ass off to make his role and the film work.. As a fan u should be grateful for that. RK has given big hits before too, few flops won't end his career. All actors including Sanjay Dutt has given numerous flops in their career, no big deal.

About whitewashing I have never said anything on that cos to each his own, max critics felt the film was whitewashed including Hirani after the film did well so there's two ways of looking at it, u can believe whatever u want.

@BollywoodLaver, calm down. Sanjay Dutt is going to be judged by everyone, u cannot shut everyone as all will have an opinion about. U cannot force anyone to believe u.

And if u think RK fans are going to be 'thankful' to Sanjay Dutt that he got to play a role of a lifetime all coz it was Sanjay Dutt then ur mistaken. RK has done better roles than SD's in my opinion. Barfi, Jordan and Ved were challenging roles,much more emotionally challenging than SD.

All RK fans rightfully acknowledge Sanjay Dutt's role in the film being a success but this rather entitled behaviour by his fans like u make nobody want to give him credit! Even in the post to which u reacted to, i gave credit to the story which was the same as giving credit to SD. But u latched on to one thing about whitewashing and started personal attacks n attacks on RK. Of course i think SD was whitewashed, its MY opinion, why get so worked up. FGS, stop imposing ur opinion on others.
