Spice Media handles PR work of all 3 khans and damaged their careers badly. It's really difficult to decide that who is bigger #Panauti today, Spice Media or Jayanti Lal Gada?

Why are BW stars making movies with such high budgets? Just saw somewhere that Zero's budget is 200 crores?! W*F!

The poor script is mainly at fault. The actors should have chosen better. Katrina is underutilised in Bollywood. If this movie has done anything at all, it has given too good female performances, besides that of SRK.
Has anyone seen Rohit Shetty's recent IV? He spoke of the necessity of getting more screens all over India. He said South films do great business in just one state as they include many many screenings all over the state. Bollywood slogs all over India as doesn't get close to that many viewings. Thats why even average South films do good business but high profile BW films are known to tank.

Half the battle lost when you make a negative first impression. It was doomed from the day they chose that title ZERO.
Chupe hue PR wale, sunlo... kabhi bhi negative impression create karne wala title mat do. Sonu ki tatti bhi chalegi lekin Zero/Tubelight nahin.

even wen rohit shetty made dilwale he changed the whole script just to hype up the srk-kajol chemistry, and seems like with zero anand just wanted to use the srk 'romancing' style to give it hype, that where these film makers go wrong, they don't go with their gut instinct, this is wat rohit said about dilwale

In fact, he also revealed that the original script that he wrote was quite different from the movie and had more of a humour quotient.

The original story of Dilwale' revolved around three brothers and Kajol's role was limited to just four-five scenes from the flashback.

Basically his idea was to show SRK-Kajol's romance was "gone in 60 seconds type of past. However, Rohit changed it later.

He confessed that no one influenced him to change the script, but he did it as he was scared with the SRK-Kajol's on-screen chemistry. Rohit wanted to do just with their cult classic Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge' and also to its fans.

However classic the film may be, Indian audience cannot spend thousands of rupees, take the entire family for an outing, if the film looks depressing.

Mera Naam Joker or Guzaarish; We cherish them as classics. We hear the songs till today. But we don't go and watch it. Take out the grandeur set and famous dances from Bhansali. We don't want to watch those depressing movies. May be Zero is a cheerful one. But it did not give that feel in trailer.

Movie watching is a family outing. People want to celebrate. They want cheerful ones.

I think the pressure of having SRK star in your movie and a big budget clouds the directors mind. They feel the need to go the extra mile when they don't even need to

SRK's ego
He literally runs after successful directors and managed to bring the worst out of them. Ex. Jab tak hai jaan, Jab harry met sajal, Dilwale, Zero.
For God's sake read script not face of directors.

His movie (if ever happens) with Hirani ji will be Hirani ji's worst.
