This forum reacts like all other leading actress in Bollywood are Meryl Streep except Deepika. All the female stars in the current generation are limited actress . Few overacts , few don't know the ABCD of emoting and few underacts and those who are good in acting mostly categorized as offbeat actress.

Dumbest thing I've heard in a long time! The craziest excuses people will come up with to find any reason to put DP down 😆 yes because Vin is a submissive puppy that will do anything to make DP happy, gosh if she has that power over him why don't you think she was able to use it for Fast & Furious :( FYI, not that it matters, Vin said this before he filmed XxX with DP. People 'under-rate' Deepika because she is a limited actress. Deepika has the same standard few expressions. That is why PC stole all the limelight from her in Bajrao Mastani and even the song Pinga because PC was more expressive. Same for Padmavaat. DP could never pull off a Fashion, Queen, Jab We Met or Kahaani due to her intrinsic limitations. As for Draupadi, DP is beautiful but she lacks the intrinsic fierceness of Draupadi.

That's not to say that DP is a terrible actress. For many, she is an average actress with her own set of limitations. She was good in Piku and as Meenamma. Her forte is comedy and playing depressed, sad characters. But for the rest, she hasn't been that impressive.

Agreed! She was bland as both mastani and padmavati. Plus jer dialogue delivery isn't upto the mark and for such characters it is a must.. Honestly i don't care if the actress looks gorgeous or not, the thing tjat matters the most is acting and dialogue delivery. Before watching BM i was wondering that how could priyanka pull off a historical character? But she totally proved me wrong! So much that i could not connect with any other character at all. That made me realise that it's not about looks, it's about acting, even the old DD historicals and mythos did not have many great looking actors but they were brilliant in their performances, so much that we still talk about it👏

well how much u decide the quota of deepika acting it wont affect her career, she is a talented and she is learning from oso to padmavat her career graft show her acting.

Deepika's biggest drawback is her dialogue delivery lacks voice modulation. She is a limited actress and so are many others in BW.

There is more to her than just good looks, maybe DP has her own set of limitations, but still she is one of the better actors, and she was not that bad in "Padmavaat"
