can you share a few here ?@ratrukus : i thought drug usage becomes an addiction where addicts loose themselves and their priorities, hence always thought drug addicts are someone not in their senses most of the time and also not able to concentrate on work etc...
Regarding his statement on drugs, lt was during an interview(Filmfare I think) in the run up to divorce. He was very Harsh. He was asked about his opinion on drug use. And this is wat he said:
"Substance abuse is really meant for people who have not really given life a chance. I feel very sympathetic towards drug addicts, bcoz they are under the delusion that it makes them happy. It does not. Its called a High, and the end result of the high is a low. So, its not really making you happy. Its like being stuck in a vicious circle...like those hamsters on the wheel in cages. For a while you are high up, and then you come crashing down. Maybe 50 percent go through this high and low, and 50 percent side step the low, but even that group of people, they dont realize that they will never be able to enjoy a similar occasion or celebration...without that support. So, they are in effect, handicapping themselves. So everytime you want to feel happy, you want to turn to a drug...it is the Most Stupidest, the Most Unintelligent way to chase happiness. Your pursuit of happiness must and should be solid. It should be real. And it should come from within. If you have not achieved it, if you are not on the path of striving to achieve that, then what is the use of your life? Whatever you will achieve - the money, the happiness, the fame, if you need a drug to get happy, then you are WORTHLESS, WORTHLESS".
