I say this because ever since this trend started in India I see reports of rape disappearing from other places or being buried deep in the subsection. I feel a lot more media coverage is being given to MeToo movement and although I am not against it but somewhere it is taking away from a lot more serious cases of rape/murder because the victims are just common citizens and the public and the press is entirely focusing on the celebrities.

People like Kangana and other publicity hungry individuals aren't helping much either.

Even in Hollywood that's the movement ended up amounting to. It's true that people shared their story but I feel that Rose McGowan and Asia Argento were to vitriolic and trying to get coverage from their stories.

Also the MeToo movement is leaving behind lots of women isn't as inclusive as we would like to think.

When ya got people groping and grabbing whomever they please than someone sitting back and hollering obscenities at the opposite sex is kinda tame. An really no big deal 😆😆

Almost every Indian gal/woman has a me too story. It is highly impossible for all of dm to get justice, but at least they are able to share now. Future generations will not feel ashamed to react n share coz of dis. Men will be scared (who cud be potential rapists if v let go of d so called small things) n will think twice before misbehaving with a woman. This is an achievement acc to me.

I am sure its not perfect , however - at least there is an open discussion/awareness about these ongoing harassment issues and more serious issues - its okay to talk about it / confront predators and shame them. I would consider it as a plus.

⭐️ Agree with you. it's not aboit justice. It's really about awareness & telling girls & boys that sexual harassment should not be tolerated. I also think in future predators will be more careful and will learn how to behave reapectfully. It's not going to happen overnight but it's a start.

It's not that everyone will get justice. And of course some people may take advantage of it. But doesn't matter.
The main thing about this movement about this movement is that it's beyond individual stories.
It's not even about the past.
This movement will protect women in the future. People will think twice before taking advantage of someone now due to fear of this movement.

And THAT is what matters
