Kareena's attitude and acting took a long time to improve.

Her fans seem to forget her atrocious acting and distractingly big lips in a slew of films like mpkdh, k3g, mujhse dosti karogi etc etc that came along earlier in her career.

It is only after her relationship with Saif, marriage and subsequent motherhood that she has mellowed down quite a bit.

Anyway, point is yes, she is a good actress overall. But the amount of fawning the likes of Kjo and Manish Malhotra used to do over her during early 2000s is pukeworthy.🤢

KJo once even said that Kareena will always remain an Alister/superstar no matter how many flops she gives. Why? Because she is fair and comes from the so called "aristocratic" kapoor family?

let's not pretend that nepotism and industry support didnt help her sail through her string of flops and emerge as a top actress.

From 2004 to 2018 she has been a great actress only in a handful of roles. Even after her 2007 JWM she was inconsistent in her performances with epics like Tashan, main aur Mrs khanna and kambaqt ishq. So saying Kareena has 14 years of good acting under her belt doesn't make sense to me.

Then from 2010 to 2015 or so she remained a "hit" actress by playing flowerpot in hero-centric masalas. And yes among the last 5 hits that you mentioned, 2 (bajrangi bhaijaan and singham returns) fall under that category. VDW and Udta Punjab's successes cannot be credited solely to her. She acted well in them though, I will give her that. Only ki and ka can be attributed as her solo success in recent times.

Given the ratio of bad films she has done in her career in comparison to good films, she would have never been paraded around as an A-list superstar if it weren't for the kind of backing she receives from the industry. I dont see what she has done other than being a reasonably good looking insider to warrant a superstar tag. There are too many bad films, flops and inconsistencies polluting her filmography for her to be called one imo.

Kareena would have gotten far more attention mileage and exposure than Ameesha got in KNPH..even a child can tell this. she belongs to a filmy family and she was making a big debut. and it's not like that RR had to face trouble working with her ... ask any director who worked with her initially like satish kaushik (MKKH) JP dutta ( refugee ) n even subhash ghai who were all aware of her tantrums she used to throw..not to mention her huge fight with bipasha on sets of ajnabee. all these films except Refugee released in 2001 which she must have shooting for all of them in 2000-2001 period. now please someone tell me, how in the world she got so many movies in one single go...was it because of her talent LOL. clearly nepotism was the case here...

and to those people who talks about her talent, let's just talk abt her talent n not her controversies or any other things. As a performer, she barely has done substantial work which is a FACT. she will be forgotten soon once she is out of industry because everyone would like to remember her for her controversial image or anything else but not her performances
