Exactly. Weren't their childhood pics floating around some time back.?

Ranveer clearly spent his childhood around starkids. Being related to Anil Kapoor clan, would've been enough for him to make descent connections.

Not commenting on his talent though. He DID prove himself through his work.

Only in IF we have theories and explanations about Deepika and Amitabh being insiders😆.

That way, pageants winners are also not outsiders, because they are too popular and someone might be knowing them🤣

Do you really think selfish bollywood would give a movie to someone attending parties ?

who else other then RS have made it big like him, by attending bollywood parties ? And please don'tsay that they were probably never interested...

Who else in the insider list has relations on levels with RS...other then Imran Khan and Emran Hashmi, all others are blood relatives...

arre dear, show me how many people were like him, attending parties and made it big like him... Bollywood is selfish, they won't give chance to somebody just cause he attended so and so parties... these star kids get chances cause their dad's, mom's, brother's and sister's are biggies themselves...

When Amitabh first went for auditions in Bombay, he was a tall, lanky man with not much typical hero like looks, he was told by producer to go and write, to become a poet like his dad.

He used to work in a company in Kolkata and acted in some local theater before he moved to Bombay to become an actor

His 1st or 2nd role was that of a villain in Bandhe Haath, he got his 1st hero role against Aruna Irani and he had several flops before Zanjeer became a hit

Besides the nepotism debate, I think its about time someone brought this up.

"Influence" is as much prevalent in Bollywood, as nepotism.

My personal take on nepotism is that it only serves as a ticket to Bollywood, it doesn't guarantee success. If you look at the insiders list, there are many incredible names in there like Aamir, Tabu, Rani, Ranbir etc. All these actors proved their worth and the audiences loved them for who they were, not because they were someone's daughter or son.

Same is the case with Influence.

There are so many actors who have entered the industry because they had influential connections. Many "outsiders" would come into this category like Ritesh Deshmukh, Amisha Patel etc.

But this nepotism debate has been blown so out of proportion that nobody seems to care looking at the bigger picture.

While outsiders have better small time actors, the insiders have better acting superstars Aamir, Ajay, Sunny, Sanjay, Ranbir, Alia, Hrithik.

Just goes on to show that this nepotism talk might be a little exaggerated. I mean how do you explain guys like Sunil, Sid, Jacquiline and even Akshay early in his career surviving without BO success or acting chops.

Trust me I have nothing against him. I appreciate his talent.

Despite a hit debut film, nobody cared for him until he proved himself in Ram Leela and Lootera.

So like I said, he proved himself.

But the problem with him is that he pretends to be a complete outsider, who comes from a small town and a poor middle-class family background, which isn't the case obviously.
