Indian doctors actually earn atleast 3 times less than a software professional. Software people are actually overpaid and doctors are underpaid.

software people r over paid? we work like maniacs . there is no concept of over time in india. Unlike doctors where experince matters, we r constantly in risk of losing job to young people with modern skills

so we have to keep learning things throughout life. There is always a risk of laying off! we get paid same even if we work 18 hours for a 10 hours job. we rarely get holidays

doctors work 72 hrs straight sometimes.. Infacr gynecologists during their post grad work 96 hrs too sometimes

They dont even get lunch or dinner breaks.. Specially in case of gynecologists and surgeons..

Emergency medicine people are always on duty.. Even when they are off duty they will have to rush back if there's any case that their colleagues wouldnt be able to deal.with.

Software people on the other hand mostly get 2 days off in a week. Saturday sunday are always holidays..

Doctors work evn on sundays.

Its very unfair when doctors are beaten up n blamed for a patient's death when the patient was in a critical state and doctors did everything they could to save his/her life. Ppl complaining about tests now, if the patient died as a result of a missed diagnosis these very same ppl wouldnt think twice before suing the doctor. Ppl can spend lakhs on vacations. U go for one movie with family, u end up spending 2000 bucks atleast. my sister used to stay in a hostel during her emergency med residency though her college was in our city only. She had only one fellow resident as the branch was relatively new back in.2013. Only 2 seats and hectic duties.. They seldom got holidays.. Survived on just coffee a times..

yes people r complaining about test because they have reason to . over the years Indian doctors r looting people n killing them in a indirect way when their pockets don't get filled. later we confirmed those tests weren't neceassary. that coming from a top doctor here. Doctors r looting people n they're money minded people. n yes software people r not killing people to fill their lust for money .! No one is denying to pay doctor. But when they made it business with shops n labs it is quite clear y people should pay for unncessry test . oh yeah all doctors r genuine lol! willkeep patientopen ventilator when there's is no chance of survival to make more money. people has lost trust on doctors becauseof their incompetence n their greediness

I went to Dental school and there spoiled rich brat kids that got accepted to become a doctor because their parents are doctors or they know the people that work in the school. Unfair to those who struggled for years completing prerequisite classes and getting denied even after having perfect grades, just because you don't have a powerful recommendation. That's the sad world, recommendation and nepotism exists in every field.
