Moreover, I won't say that Arijit sings all the songs nice but definitely he could nail this one.

Overall this song is not a bad one either like many are underestimating, in my opinion.

It's sung by Ajay gogavle. I loved the marathi version by him. But yes I do feel his voice is not suitable for hindi slow romantic songs.

Pros:

Love the music. Would like to know if they used the track by an orchestra in LA or they recreated it.

Cons:

1. Parshya is a fisherman. He is fishing when the song starts so it makes sense he jumps into the river to come to land. Here, not so much.

2. The village boys and girls use a well to take a bath in Sairat. They are poor, most of them and take a bath outside. No sign of bathrooms. Here, I am not exactly sure what it is the girls are doing. Lounging in some ancient bath old time Queens take a bath ?. Now they look rich enough to have bathrooms, heck even Ishaan takes a bath in a bathroom, air conditioning so don't know why they are lounging there? Again discordant recreation.

3. Ajay Gogavale's voice flows in the Marathi song. I did not understand the words, here I understand the words but jarring.

4. Why can't they recreate a song for a setting in a small town ?

But then logic and Dharma are poles apart. Ishaan and Jhanvi seem extremely likable offscreen. On screen every time logic fail or they look dull.

This is so bad, the crazy in love part looks so unintentionally hilarious. The water part and the slo mo shots all look so out of the place. 😆 They should have composed a new song instead of using the same tune.

I wish someone else had sung the hindi version with a pleasant voice...Ajay's voice is very powerful and very deep hence it suits dance numbers or ganpati visarjan songs or something of marathi mileu. His voice suited the Dhadak title track because it was more of a tragic romantic song than happy romantic song. But this one is a pure, fun filled innocent romantic number...it needed a softer voice.. who could've done justice to Amitabh Bhattacharya's fabulous lyrics.. I heard the whole song on Saavn and I'm absolutely in love with the hindi lyrics. Very contemporary yet very rooted.. esp these lines...

Dikh gayi toh hai usi mein

Also hate the fact that this song is 5 minutes long in the album while the title track is 4 mins only. 😡 That song needed more Shreya and Ajay.

For someone who never watched Sairat, I liked it. I think you all are too busy comparing, the music was pleasant to ears and yes, Ishan is going little overboard but they are showing young love. I thought it was great.

Gives me too much of Ramleela vibes but not in a good way. Locations are also the same in this song so iys too much dejavu feeling. Song is bland n Ajay's voice sounded better in the title track but in no way does his voice suit Ishaan. Unwittingly Ishaan seems to be aping Ranveer which IMO is not a good thing. Over all this movie might actually do well but will not do enough for the pair.
