Luv Ranjan wants to cast Alia Bhatt opposite Ranbir Kapoor in his next film

Luv Ranjan recently announced that he will be collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgan for his next project. The director has had an amazing track record with films like the Pyar Ka Punchnama series and Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety exceeding expectations at the box office. The director also shared that actors who refused to work under him in the past are willing to come on board for his projects now.
According to reports, Luv Ranjan wants to bring Alia Bhatt on board for his next project. There are rumours suggesting that Shraddha Kapoor too is being considered by the director for the female lead in the film. A source close to the film said, "Most film scripts are written with certain stars in mind. Having said that, directors also have a vision of who they want to cast. Today, Alia is a big star. If you want to cast her, you need to sign her around the same time as the male stars. If the role is not that important, it is highly unlikely that Alia will sign on the dotted line, even if it means losing out on quality time with beau Ranbir.
Alia Bhatt will be seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra is a trilogy which will be released in the intervals of two years. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy who is said to be playing the role of the antagonist in the film.
