I don't believe that Ajay is playing Ranbir's father. The way Masand wrote that blind was very deliberately trying to present Ranbir as the more desired star and Ajay as someone who didn't want to say no to a movie with Ranbir 😔. Unless they are playing different timelines and don't share any screen space as father and son. But 49 year old Ajay playing 35 year old Ranbir's father in the same frame seems highly implausible.

sorry, even when i was a neutral viewer i never found him to a heart throb... just the male version of Neetu Singh... in fact he is very unfortunate to be born in the kapoor family yet not take the looks from Shashi and Rishi Kapoor...

yes, just yesterday saw his pic in one article. It looked like he was wearing a wig ( a bad one) and looked so weird...

Probably he is playing a step dad or RK playing an adopted son. Though good to see Ajay saying yes to father roles, Khans and Kumar should follow suit if the script is good.

Ranbir should also start saying yes to teenager father roles to people like Alia, Jhanvi, Shanaya and Ishaan.

Not only did Ranbir reveal the casting story and parts of the plot, he's even mocking Ajay here.

Ranbir gave his mouthpiece Masand an interview last week, he told all these to Masand off the record.

Arre... it is a heartland movie like GOW. Manoj played Nawaz's father and the movie was about father and son's kaale kartoot... this one will be about father and son's tharakpan.

Ajay got an awkward storyline of adopted daughter injected into Drishyam as he didn't want to play father to a teen daughter and now agreed to play father to 37 yr old gossip queen. 😲

And Gossip queen has already started his PR shenanigans to malign the other party. I don't see this ending well. Karthik will have the last laugh. 😆
