Flop show! Salman Khan's Dus Ka Dum fails to live up to expectations, opens to poor ratings

Salman Khan's Dus Ka Dum premiered amidst gigantic expectations on June 4 (Monday). Considering the show was returning after nearly a decade and Salman was in his top form, it was difficult to imagine that the opening episodes of the game show would fail to claim a spot in even Top 20 shows.

But unfortunately, Salman's much-anticipated show has failed to get good ratings and is nowhere in the rating chart.

The show opened to mixed reviews. Some people thought it was a drag, while others loved Salman's inimitable style and interesting set of questions.

Madhuri Dixit's dance reality show, on the other hand, has unexpectedly garnered huge ratings (7.5 million impressions) and is only behind Naagin 3 (10.8 million impressions). Interestingly, the first two episodes of the show featured Salman Khan as a guest judge and people seemed to have liked him better in this show along with Madhuri Dixit and Jacqueline Fernandes.

Dus Ka Dum's previous seasons, on the other hand, got immensely popular and helped Sony TV reclaim its top position back then. The makers wanted to rope in Salman for the third season as well, but Salman shifted gears to competitive channel Colors and became the host of Bigg Boss.

One thing that could explain Dus Ka Dum's debacle might be its weekday slot. The show airs on Monday and Tuesday at 8:30 pm and people expect to watch such shows on the weekend. The experiment has clearly failed to bring in the ratings.

Meanwhile, the two new entrants in the rating chart Naagin and Dance Deewane have pipped daily soaps like Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya that are now placed in third and fourth position respectively.

He took too much time to bring back dkd you cannot bring back a show after a decade and expect it to do as good as b4. Unfortunately he is more known for that trash shit show big boss now .

The hype died down of that show and not many viewers remember what it was like to begin with. He should have taken 1-2 yr break with the show n not 8 yrs. Now the content looks stale though he is hosting it in a fun way it just looks like an extention of weekend ka vaar so the novelty the initial seasons had is missing bigtime.

Weekdays pe people prefer to watch the bhagyas so Bhai stands no chance.. But then weekend pe people prefer to watch naagin so bhai again has no chance
