I actually like them. I do believe they are very thoughtful, balanced and try to give a detailed review. That being said I do acknowledge that they are critics from the "classes". While they are able to comment on acting, pacing, script, direction, editing etc - their understanding of "entertainment value" is poor. They don't acknowledge films that have entertaining packages that entertain the masses.

Of late I have been enjoying Sucharita Tyagi - I like her spunk, energy and often sarcastic takes on movies.

I only watch their interviews with stars and that's about it. Be it Masand or Anupama or Kunal Guha or Rahul Desai, every single critics these days give out spoilers in their reviews. The film starts like this, in the middle this happens, there is this dialogue, this is how it ends...I mean why the f**k are they even calling themselves critics when they sound like the spoiler section of an IMDB page?? I read a review of regional film a while back in a reputed newspaper and they have literally given every single detail of the film including locations and climax in the review!

We only need to know their recommendations, not what the movie looks like!

I swear the only critic who actually makes sense these days even with her OTT persona is Sucharita from Not A Film Review. Sticks to her points, does not give spoilers and makes it quick. Masand literally reads his review from a teleprompter, atleast that's what it appears to be like while watching his rehearsed SD reviews!

Haven't seen anupama's recent reviews but her opinions arent the same as masand. Unlike the latter, she doesn't thrash all "masala" films.. She actually manages to review films within the context of their genre more often than masand
