EXCLUSIVE:Deepika Padukone knew about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's relationship before they made it official

A source close to Ranbir Kapoor revealed to us that he even confided in former girlfriend Deepika Padukone about his relationship with Alia Bhatt before making it official.

We were the first to tell you that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt started dating on the sets of Ayan Mukherji's Bramhastra in Bulgaria. And now the 35-year-old actor has opened up about his 'new' relationship with Bhatt in an interview to GQ this month.

The actor has been refreshingly candid about this relationship to family (read mother Neetu Singh Kapoor) and friends. A source close to Kapoor reveals that he even confided in former girlfriend Deepika Padukone about his relationship before making it official.

A common friend says "RK and Deepika continue to be close friends, and keep each other's secrets. He told her about it and she was very happy for him and Alia. It's rare to find such friendship between exes."

Considering DP is about to be married to Ranveer, and Katrina has been RK's latest serious girlfriend; Shouldn't she be giving blessing to Alia/RK couple and not DP who has been broken up with him for a long time now? Way to make it seem like Katrina wasn't in the picture at all. 😆

Bollywood is an interesting place full of bizarre species. Although Ranbo uncle cheated on Deepika, she continues to hide his secrets and has no problem in keeping in touch like buddies. I thought the foundation of friendship lies in trust not betrayal. However these Bolly people have time and again amused me with their approach towards friendship. Ajeeb daastan hai ye kaha shuru kaha khatam? Ye manzile hai kaunsi na wo samajh sake na hum.

If they want to date get married have kids ,.. it's completey there call. But can't see any love in each other's eyes, or even affection. If the marriage happens it would be wedding between two big camps of bollywood. Bhatt camp n kapoor camp in the courtyard of dharma.
