Deepika was almost finalised by yashraj for dhoom3 but aamir replaced her with kat cos kat had more hits at that time😆 later deepika delivered cocktail,race3 and many hits👏

Aamir wanted her for thugs of hindustan but she refused😛 apparently aamir will keep 70% of the profit and since its a big budget film,they were not offering not much money to lead actress. Shraddha was definately being considered as she was spotted visiting him 2-3 times. Alia also rejected and reportedly sara's audition adi chopra rejected. In the end one wanted vaani,one wanted fatima. The more wannabe one got the role🥱

But if she doesn't like him I don't think it would stop her from making a movie with him. She's always said she won't turn down a good movie. Idk man but I've seen her around Salman at award functions etc & she's looked visibly uncomfortable to me. Also there have been reports that she was offered various films with him but refused. Then there was that IIFA conference with PC & just the way they were acting, obvious to me they DGAF about Salman! Those movies reportedly offered to her were lucrative. Am sure it was a good role she wouldn't refuse a film but come on, where does that exist in a Salman Khan film. 😆

first of all...she needs to get a film with salman to accept it...no makers want to explore this couple so how will they work together...salman has no issues with her...he always respected her n admire her hardwork...he did told kjo abt it in KWK...so there is no issues...deepika feels uncomfortable with him which is visible becos they never really been around with each other...but one thing if any point of time...if deepika calls him for help...he will be there to help her...thats for sure...salman is known to help his collegues even if he doesn't know them

anushka is the only actress who have worked with the KHANS in such a short span of time

Salman is a big star but none of the top actresses really care to act with him or worry about being in his good graces, not just Deepika. They know there is nothing to do in his movies and Salman is also moody and hard to get along with if you have self-respect because he expects total devotion. Even Anushka went through the motions during Sultan for YRF's sake and then unfollowed him on social media as soon as the movie released and talked about how uncomfortable and intimidating it was working with him and that she never even spoke to him outside of group discussions for Sultan.

That's why he's mostly with hangers on like Daisy, Sonakshi, Jacky and various small time actresses who will happily suck up to him and do whatever he says. Even Kat lets him dictate to her.

I don't think its her ego for not working with salman bhai.
I was so upset when kareena did movies with salman bhai. she hardly had anything to do in his movies.
so if offers did come dips way to work with bhai, but the roles were not exciting enough, I am glad she refused it.

but I wonder what made her sign Padmavati. must be bhansali.

True, but since the topic was about DP, I stuck to what her behaviour is around Salman. Kareena, Sonam, Vidya, Kangana suck up to him too. Vidya in general is extremely nice, and her husband is a powerful producer so don't think Salman can anyway do a lot after a point, she wouldn't care either, lol. But it's shocking when a Sonam, Kareena suck up to him the way they do. I know they've a strong childhood association with him but still. Anushka was funny, both looked so vaguely uncomfortable around each other. Can't believe she said all that though!!

The XXX4 thing looks like a done deal with someone involved with the script tweeting details. And DP is currently in New York for a US Vogue shoot. She's not gonna let this HW thing go any time soon.

If she's really serious then she needs to hire a tutor and learn an American accent. That's the only way she could get a good role.

You've reminded me of something I read on another site about how if Salman isn't in the mood to read his lines he'll just move his mouth, and then later they add dialogue during dubbing. Now that's gotta be annoying for people who want honest performances. It's like acting with a wall.

Also I remember Anushka talking about sexism on sets during the 2015 roundtable with Rajeev and how they want you to know the man is the important one. I was wondering who she was talking about so it must have been him.

Bhansali hyped her role up a lot before they started shooting and made it seem like it was all about women empowerment. But he makes script changes on set depending on his mood. Then with the offscreen drama and editing it's possible her role ended up being less significant than it was originally suppose to be. In future she should only sign stuff if the scripts are complete and won't have many changes.
