I think that was the first time that She wasn't celebrating her birthday with her family,Coz of Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela Shoot (Ang Laga De Song).

So to cheer her up he did that!!!

Ranveer ordered a live brass band to play Happy Birthday for his friend' on January 4
Most people would agree he is the most extroverted and demonstrative young actor in the film industry today. And for someone who debuted with a film titledBand Baaja Baaraat, it was perhaps fitting that Ranveer Singh chose to bring in his good friend and Ram Leelaco-star Deepika Padukone's birthday with a live brass band.

At the stroke of midnight on January 4, the band ordered by Ranveer played Happy Birthday' exclusively for birthday girl Deepika. And while the actress may be a tad embarrassed to beat the receiving end of Ranveer's ebullient attentions of late, this particular gesture seemed to warm the cockles of her heart, making her all emotional and teary-eyed.

A source from the Ram Leela sets told us, "Deepika and Ranveer were shooting a passionate song with Sanjay Leela Bhansali at Film City. At the stroke of midnight, all work came to a standstill. A cake was wheeled in and then... the big surprise! A brass band entered the set on cue and played Happy Birthday at full volume for Deepika. Ranveer had hired the band to usher in Deepika's birthday.

Apparently, Deepika was close to tears on hearing the band. "She was deeply moved. It isn't every day that a girl gets treated so specially, said the source.

Looks like Ranveer isn't the only one wearing his heart on his sleeve.
