Answer was not gud, but overall the personality of Sush is btr than Aish in my pov n dtz wt d judges saw.

Wrong. Their final rating was a tie. Both got equal marks. 9.39 something. So clearly judges didn't think Sush was better.

Hence the tie-breaker round was held and these two questions were asked. But based on this round, Ash was better. However, Sush got more marks. I guess the judges' GK is as bad as Sushmita's.

Personally i fell in luv with Sush d moment i saw her, so m kinda biased, she had dt x factor which i feel many ppl saw.

Sushmita's wasn't a dumb answer, she was just ill-informed. Lacking some knowledge doesn't make someone dumb.

Neither was Aishwarya's answer dumb. She had to choose an ideal husband between two fictional characters, and I felt she did the best she could. If this is a dumb answer, could you say what is a smart answer to it?

P.S. I don't know about beauty pageants but the biggest beauty pageant winners from India have always been smart, be it Aishwarya, Sushmita, Lara or Priyanka.

Jo hua acche ke liye hua...pata chala Sush Ms World haar kar aati...Aish Ms Universe haar kar aati...😆we got two winners...aur kya chahiye...

and BTW I think it was after this that the titles were changed to Ms India-Universe, Ms India World...uske pehle shayad Ms India, 1st runner hota tha.

If it was a tie-breaker then same question shudve been asked. As someone said, what If Aish had chosen Mahatma Gandhi as the ideal husband. This is clearly a biased judgement only based on the name of Mahatma Gandhi. Which is unfair to the other candidate. Esp cause Sushmita's answer wasn't right.

Though I think Sushmita also looked extremely gorgeous at the time of the pageant. But this kinda biased behavior is totally off-putting.

I remember watching this and back then it was a given that Aishwarya would win the competition. A lot of girls withdrew from the competition because of her. All the sponsors were supporting Aish, her gown was made properly and she was coached for the show. Sush on the other hand, was an underdog she had no one supporting her. I doubt that the show would be biased to make Sush win. Sush was confident and had this persona that was one of the reason of her win. Regarding the questions, the paegents have always had stupid questions. I also didn't like the Manushi's answer for Miss World where she said mother is the best profession.
