Budget does not decide the verdict .Distribution price does .

If this film is any sort of success below 50 crore ,then Varun is a B grade star lol.

The film is a flop and everyone needs to accept it! Lol if it's a 30-40 budget it needs to make a lot more than 40
To be a successful film lol please learn how the box office works you can't call a movie that breaks even a success. Face reality please

AS per BOI collection till 2nd fri is Rs.29.10 cr where as as per taran adarsh it is Rs.32.13 cr.
almost 10% difference. & Budget as per BOI is R.35 cr.

As BOI stated for a fair result it needs 40cr plus which is what it's going to achieve
October Has Fair Hold On Second Friday
Saturday 21 April 2018 11.30 IST
Box Office India Trade Network

October has held well on its second Friday as it grossed in the 1.25-1.50 crore nett and took its total to around 29 crore nett. The drop is only around 20-25% from Thursday which is pretty good and the film looks to be going towards that 40 crore nett mark as the weekend will easily cross 6 crore nett and maybe even be 7 crore nett as there will be huge Saturday growth as its an urban film and only this audience is interested in the film.

The film will have to add some numbers post the second week to reach a 40 crore nett plus figure but they should come as metros will continue to screen despite the release of Infinity War. The collections of the film so far are as follows.

Week One - 27,75,00,000

Friday - 1,35,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 29,10,00,000

And all those geniuses who are 'here for reviews' suddenly became a trade analyst, should go learn that the moderate success is actually a profitable venture.

Just to all barking how this being a Varun film - in an underperformer. Just kindly tell me? When was the last time a Bollywood film with no music and 5 days promotions opened to 5 cr? That too it majorly got multiplexes screens as the makers only targeted them. Where as Varun's fanbase come from all sections and mainly in mass. And here BOI mentions how its sustained on top metro's with selective audiences and it's seen with 80% jump today. Film is likely to be 36cr by end of the weekend on BOI's site. And remaining 4cr won't be a major task

It's not like this film is Bombay Velvet or even Lootera for f sake. Both had many commercial aspects but this film didn't. As for test on Varun's star power. Sui Dhaaga, Kalank, ABCD 3 and Rannbhoomi will solve your theories And this is coming from a fan who loved Lootera. But heck that film was rejected unlike October. Even SRK after Main Hoon Na and multiple blockbusters gave a Swades which wasn't even in top 15 grossers of the year. Or Salman after HAHK & Karan Arjun gets a critically acclaimed Khamoshi which tanked and couldn't cross opening day of KA. Does it show lack of stardom? NO!

Some people on here are just plain pricks who are not going to digest a success verdict for this film. Best if you stay in own delusional bubble

It did not cross 300 crore but I'm hearing it's doing well in proportion to its budget.

Unlike a Jagga Jasoos or Fan which were clean flops I hear 😆 😆

Should be since you're unaware of definition of success. And trust me sending vulgar PM's to members isn't termed 'success' neither supporting flop stars like ' Shraddha or Sid'

Trust me I ain't defending Varun's 100% success ratio here. But the fact this film deserves moderate success verdict and should be acknowledged for it with accolades as primarily in Bollywood, the criteria to win a major awards requires a film to be successful. And this film rightfully deserves it for being the most critically acclaimed Bollywood film in last 5 years.

So far it looks boring and SRK is having a Brad Pitt hangover. And it has Suhana, the worst actress ever to hit the industry. What do you think?...
