No matter whether Kangana rejected Majid or the other way round , if he selected Malavika mohanan that means he is not looking for a great actress .Malavika is strictly an average actress ,she was bad in her first movie Pattam pole and improved slightly in Nirnayagam and Great father.

Faridoon had asked Majid about Deepika.. He talks about her in this video... From 2:!2 (translation from 2:46) .. Looks like he is very much impressed with DP . love how he stressed on wanting to work with her in future 😳 He thanked her so much for her humility... He never said he rejected DP 😛

The movie focuses on Ishan's character, the sister's role is much smaller. Kangu may have asked for the sister to be the central focus and they probably disagreed on it.

All said, Deepika did agree for look test whereas Kangana in all her high headedness communicated whatever she had through "her office

So what am getting from this is that Majidi rejected Kangana and not the other way around. But I guess he doesn't want to say it outright. And ofcourse Deepika is nice. To be honest,nobody has ever had anything bad to say about her except her contemporaries and their stans here and elsewhere which is understandable cause she's way too successful for their liking. But GP love her to bits and that's all that matters. The rest is just noise.
